Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has gained recognition for her stellar performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her film Piano earned her an Oscar. In her early years, the accomplished actress began performing on stage in a number of Broadway or Off Broadway productions. The actress has always had an interest in acting since she was in school. Her first role in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. Her mumps left her blind and deaf in one ear, but she didn't let this to stop her from becoming an actress. In her teens She studied acting and eventually moved to New York City. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. Her first film role was as an actress who played the leading character Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in several movies, television shows as well as movies throughout the span of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
