Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her high-quality performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She has won numerous awards for her work, including an Oscar. The talented actress began her career in acting on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. Acting has always been her love of life. In fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original show. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost hearing in her left ear. But she didn't allow that to stop her. She was a drama major at the college before moving to Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. In a chance encounter she became stuck in an elevator alongside playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to land film roles. An supporting role was secured for her in Swing Shift. In the last three decades Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
